How to Play Georgia Cash 4 Lottery
From a Georgia Lottery retailer (a gas station, a convenience store, a food store, etc. which plays DC Lottery) get
a Cash 4 playslip. A playslip contains five different play areas, marked Play A through Play E. Each play area represents
a different Cash 4 play. If you want to play only one number, fill out only the Play A panel; if you want to play 10 numbers,
then get two playslips and fill all the panels, A to E of both of them.
Each play panel contains four colums of the digits 0 to 9. Mark the first digit of your number on the first column, the second digit
on the second column, the third digit on the third column, and the fourth digit on the fourth column. So, if you want to play
8142, then 8 will be marked in the first column, 1 in the second column, 4 in the third column, and 2 in the fourth column. Next
select and mark the amount (50 cents or $1), then select the type of play - Straight, Box, Straight/Box, or Combo.
The numbers you are playing are valid only for the next draw. If you want to specify either the day or evining draw, or both, you
can do so by marking the 'MID', 'EVE' or 'NEXT 2' boxes. In fact, playing 'NEXT 2' draws doubles the price.
Next, present the completed playslip to the lottery retailer to receive your printed ticket. Check your ticket immediately to
ensure that the numbers, dates, and play type match your request.

Play Types and How You Win the Georgia Cash 4 Lottery
There are four ways you can play and win the Georgia Cash 4 game - two basic types and two shortcuts of the basic types. These types
together with how much is paid for a winning Georgia Cash 4 game type are listed below.
The basic Cash 4 play types are:
Straight: You win by matching the winning Cash 4 number in the exact order drawn. For example, if you play the
8142 as Straight, you'll win only if the winning number is exactly 8142; you don't win anything if the winning number is 8412 or 8144.
The prize of Georgia Cash 4 Straight game is $5,000 for a $1 game and $2,500 for a 50 cents game.
Box: You win by matching the numbers in any order. For example, if you play 8142 as Box, you'll win if the
Cash 4 winning number contains the four digits 1, 2, 4, and 8 in any order, such as 2148 or 4218; but not if any one is missing like 8144.
The prize of Georgia Cash 4 box play depends on whether the digits are repeated or not. A number such as 8142, where none of the
digits repeats is called a 24-way box and pays $200 for a $1 game and $100 for a 50 cents game. If one of the digits is
double, like 8182, then it is called a 12-way box and pays $400 for a $1 game and $200 for a 50-cents game. If two digits
are doubled, like 8118, then it is called a 6-way box and pays $800 for a $1 game and $400 for a 50-cents game. If one of
the digits is tripled, like 8188, then it is called a 4-way box and pays $1200 for a $1 game and $600 for a 50-cents
game. There is no Box play for numbers with all four identical digits such as 8888. These Cash 4 numbers can only be played Straight.
And the shortcut play types are:
Straight/Box: is simply a combination of a 50-cent Straight play and a 50-cent Box play. This play type is designed
to save you time; it is a shortcut of playing one game of straight and another game of Box of the same number. That is, instead of
filling one panel for 50-cents Straight and another panel for 50-cents Box, of the same number, you might as well fill out just one
panel and mark it as Straight/Box. Note that the minimum amount for a Straight/Box game is $1.
The prize of a Straight/Box play is the sum of a 50 cents Straight game and a 50-cents Box game. For example, if you play 8142
as Straight/Box, and if the winning number is 8142, then you'll win $2600 ($2500 for the Straight part + $100 for the Box part).
If the winning number is 8124, you'll win only $100 for the Box part since you did not match it Straight. How much do you win with
Straight/Box of the number
8182? (Answer),
8118? (Answer),
8188? (Answer).
Combo: This is the same as playing Straight all possible combination of the selected number. For example, if you want to win
$5000 on the number 8188 in any order, then you have to play Straight all the possible combinations, namely, 8188, 1888, 8818, and 8881,
at a price of $4 ($1 for each). The shortcut is simply to fill out any one of the combinations (say, 1888) and mark Combo for $1;
you'll still pay $4. Note that a $1 combo play of a non-repeating-digit numbers such as 8142 costs $24 since there are 24 possible
combinations (1248, 2148, 1284, 1482, etc.).
