The Georgia Lottery plays four state drawn game - Cash 3 (with midday and evening draws), Cash 4
(with midday and evening drawss), Georgia Five (with midday and evening draws), and Fantasy 5.
Plus, four multiple-state games - Powerball, Mega Millions, Win For Life, and Decades of Dollars.
Compared to other states, the Georgia offers a high variety of lottery games.
Georgia lottery uses mechanical drawing system and drawings are televised live on WSB-TV, Channel 2 in Atlanta; WJBF-TV,
Channel 6 in Augusta; WRBL-TV, Channel 3 in Columbus; WMAZ-TV, Channel 13 in Macon; WSAV-TV, Channel 3 in Savannah; and WNEG-TV,
Channel 32 in Toccoa.

Top prizes listed with "rollover" are the starting amount. The Jackpot prizes will grow after every draw until someone wins.
Pari-mutuel prize structure means players' winnings are determined by dividing the prize pool allocated for that winning category by the
number of winners.

Georgia Lottery General Rules and Regulations
The following are the most prominent rules and regulations that the player should be aware of before playing the Georgia lottery games.
- Georgia Lottery players must be 18 years of age or older.
- Tickets are ONLY available for purchase at authorized Georgia Lottery Agent Locations. Tickets are not sold by mail or through the Internet
- The following cannot play Georgia Lottery games : Anyone under the age of 18, Georgia Lottery employees, relatives of
Georgia Lottery employees living in the same household as the employee and certain employees of vendors who provide goods and
services to the Georgia Lottery.
- The Georgia Lottery Corporation does not offer sale of Georgia Lottery tickets via the mail or over the Internet.
- By law, all Georgia Lottery tickets must be purchased with cash only - credit cards, debit cards, checks or any form of
deferred payment are not acceptable forms of payment for Georgia Lottery tickets.

Claiming Prizes of the Georgia Lottery
Here are the steps you have to follow if you are a lucky winner of any Georgia lottery,
- All Georgia Lottery On-line games (Win for Life, Mega Millions, Powerball, Fantasy 5, Georgia FIVE, Cash 4, Cash 3) prizes must be claimed
within 180 days of the applicable draw date.
- Prizes of $600 or less may be redeemed at any Georgia Lottery retailer.
- For prizes above $600, winners must fill out a claim form and prizes can be claimed at any Georgia Lottery district office
or the Georgia Lottery's headquarters in Atlanta.
- All Georgia Lottery prizes are subject to applicable federal and state withholdings, and state and federal income taxes. The
GLC reports to the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue the names of winners of prizes of $600 and above. Georgia state income
tax of 6% and federal income tax of 25% are withheld from prizes of more than $5,000 at the time the prize is claimed.
Additionally, the GLC is required to check for and deduct any outstanding child support payments for prizes of $2,500 and above
and student loans and state taxes for prizes of $5,000 and above, net of wager or ticket cost.

"Georgia Lottery proceeds are used to fund specific education programs: 1) With a 3.0 grade point average, Georgia students may
qualify for Georgia's HOPE scholarships that may be used at eligible public and private colleges and universities and public
technical colleges for tuition, mandatory fees, and book allowances; for tuition assistance for undergraduate students and
paraprofessionals who aspire to be teachers; and for tuition assistance to teachers who seek advanced degrees in critical
areas of need; 2) The Georgia Prekindergarten Program for all 4-year-olds; and 3) capital outlay projects including computer
and other technological upgrades for schools, technical institutes, colleges and universities in the state."
