How to Play Georgia Five LotteryFrom a Georgia Lottery retailer (a gas station, a convenience store, a food store, etc. which plays DC Lottery) get a Georgia Five playslip. A playslip contains five different play areas, marked Play A through Play E. Each play area represents a different Georgia Five play. If you want to play only one number, fill out only the Play A panel; if you want to play 10 numbers, then get two playslips and fill all the panels, A to E of both of them. Each play panel contains five colums of the digits 0 to 9. Mark the first digit of your number on the first column, the second digit on the second column, the third digit on the third column, the fourth digit on the fourth column, and the fifth digit on the fifth column. So, if you want to play 58974, then 5 will be marked in the first column, 8 in the second column, 9 in the third column, 7 in the fourth column, and 4 in the fifth column. That's it, there is no amount choice since each play costs $1; neither is there a play type selection since matching the numbers should be in exact order and position. The numbers you are playing are valid only for the next draw. If you want to specify either the day or evining draw, or both, you can do so by marking the 'MID', 'EVE' or 'NEXT 2' boxes. In fact, playing 'NEXT 2' draws doubles the price. Next, present the completed playslip to the lottery retailer to receive your printed ticket. How You Win the Georgia Five LotteryAlthough there is only one way to play it, there are fifteen ways you can win the Georgia Five game by matching the digits in exact positions. You win $10,000 by matching the 5 digits in the exact order drawn. The lower prizes are basically won by matching the starting or ending digits in exact order as follows:
The Y's represents matched digits, the n, non-matched. These make 9 possible winning patterns. Then there are combinations of the above such as first three and the last, YYYnY which pay $20 + $1 = $21, first two and last two, YYnYY, to win $10 + $10 = $20, and so on. So, if you do not match at least either the first or the last digits, it is a lost case. Also, the patterns like nYYnY, and YnYYn win only $1.
