How to Play Indiana Daily4 Lottery
From a Indiana Lottery retailer (a gas station, a convenience store, a food store, etc. which plays IN Lottery) get
a Daily4 playslip. A playslip contains five different play areas. Each play area represents a different Daily3 play.
Each play panel contains four colums of the digits 0 to 9. Mark the first digit of your number on the first column, the second digit
on the second column, the third digit on the third column, and the fourth digit on the fourth column. So, if you want to play
8142, then 8 will be marked in the first column, 1 in the second column, 4 in the third column, and 2 in the fourth column. Next
select the type of play - Straight, Box, or Combo.
There are 6 more play types that need only partial selection of numbers. For "Front Three", you need to mark only the first three columns, and for
"Back Three", you need to mark only the last three columns. The select the type of play - Straight, Box, or Combo.
The numbers you are playing are valid only for the next draw. You may specify either the day or evining draw, or both. In fact,
playing both draws doubles the price.
Next, present the completed playslip to the lottery retailer to receive your printed ticket. Check your ticket immediately to
ensure that the numbers, dates, and play type match your request.

Play Types and How You Win the Indiana Daily4 Lottery
There are four ways you can play the Indiana Daily4 game. These types together with how much is paid for a winning
Indiana Daily4 number are listed below.
The basic Daily3 play types are:
Straight: You win by matching the winning Daily4 number in the exact order drawn. For example, if you play the Daily4 number 8142 as
straight, you'll win only if the winning number is exactly 8142; you don't win anything if the winning number is 8412 or 8144.
The prize of Indiana Daily4 Straight game is $5,000 for a $1 game and $2,500 for a 50 cents game.
Box: You win by matching the numbers in any order. For example, if you play 8142 as box, you'll win if the
Daily4 winning number contains the four digits 1, 2, 4, and 8 in any order, such as 2148 or 4218; but not if any one is missing like 8144.
The prize of Indiana Daily4 box play depends on whether the digits are repeated or not. A number such as 8142, where none of the digits repeats
is called a 24-way box and pays $200. If one of the digits is double, like 8182, then it is called a 12-way box and
pays $400. If two digits are doubled, like 8118, then it is called a 6-way box and pays $800. If one of the digits is tripled,
like 8188, then it is called a 4-way box and pays $1200. There is no box play for numbers with all four
identical digits such as 8888. These Daily4 numbers can only be played straight.
In the following play types you select only the first three or the back three digits. They act exactly as the Daily3 game.
Front Three Straight: Select only the first three digits and mark "Straight" to win $500. For example, if you play the front three 814
(i.e., 814X), you'll win as long as the first three digits of the winning number are 814 in exact order. So, you'll win with
8140, 8141, etc., but not with 0814 or 8410.
Front Three Box: Select only the first three digits and mark "Box" to win either $160 or $80, depeding on whether one of
the digits is repeated or not. You will win if the first three digits of the winning number are similar to your three digits in
any order.
Back Three Straight: Select only the last three digits and mark "Straight" to win $500. For example, if you play
the back three 142 (i.e., X142), you'll win as long as the last three digits of the winning number are 142 in exact order. So,
you'll win with 0142, 8142, etc., but not with 1420 or 8124.
Back Three Box: Select only the last three digits and mark "Box" to win either $160 or $80, depeding on whether one of
the digits is repeated or not. You will win if the last three digits of the winning number are similar to your three digits in
any order.
And the shortcut play types are known as combo, which, in other states are commonly called Sttraight/Box. The
Indiana Daily4 Combo play type is simply a combination of a 50-cent Straight play and a 50-cent Box play. So, the prize is half
of the money you get for a Straight play, plus half of the money you get for a Box play. Obviously the Box part depends on whether
some digits are repeated or not as described above.
Combo: A combination of a 50-cent Straight and a 50-cent Box of all the four digits. The Staright part pays $2500
and the Box part pays $100, $200, $400, or $600 based on the repeatition of the digits.
Front Three Combo: A combination of a 50-cent Straight and a 50-cent Box of the front three digits. The Staright part
pays $250 and the Box part pays $40, or $80 based on the repeatition of the digits.
Back Three Combo: A combination of a 50-cent Straight and a 50-cent Box of the back three digits. The Staright part
pays $250 and the Box part pays $40, or $80 based on the repeatition of the digits.
