The purpose of fixing some numbers is to reduce the number of lottery plays generated. This results in lower cost, but at the expense of reduces chance of winning. For instance, the combinations of 16 numbers will result in 8008 lottery plays of 10 Spot; but if 6 of the numbers are fixed, the number of plays becomes 210. This utility allows you to fix upto upto 9 numbers. A Montana 10 Spot jackpot is guaranteed if the fixed lottery numbers are all winning numbers, plus if all the other winning numbers are among the selected numbers. If no numbers are fixed, then a jackpot is guaranteed as long as the winning lottery numbers are all within the selected numbers. Full Wheel Usage Example for 10 Spot

Let us suppose that we want to play all Montana 10 Spot lottery numbers that are divisible by 5, that is, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 (a total of 16). To preview the scenarios, select 16 from the drop-down numbers on the Preview panel and click on "Show Scenario". The total number of lottery plays to be generated will be shown as 8008. Now, we can manipulate some 'what if' situations to see how the 8008 lottery tickets would fare. For example, clicking on the 'If 9 correct' line will list that 7 of our 10 Spot lottery plays(tickets) will match 9-of-10, 189 will match 8-of-10, and so on. If all of the winning numbers are divisible by 5, then it will be celebration time.

Now let us see the effect fixing 6 of our lottery numbers. While leaving 16 as the numbers to play, select 6 as the numbers to fix, and click the button. In this case there will be only 210 plays to be generated all of which will contain the 6 fixed numbers. Here, the scenarios will involve how many of the fixed numbers and how many of the other selected numbers are winners. For example, if 5 of the fixed numbers and 4 of the other selected numbers are winners, then 1 of the 210 lottery tickets will match 9-of-10, 24 will match 8-of-10, and so forth.

The generation part of 10 Spot combinations shouldn't pose any problem. As explained above, a cycle of clicks on a number will select, fix, and unselect it, respectively. The 'Generate' button will list the resulting 10 Spot lottery combinations in a new browser window.

At this point, you can select the 16 10 Spot numbers of our example and see the outcome. Also, you may fix 6 numbers 5, 15, and 30 and click "Generate". Observe that all the generated lottery combinations will contain the 6 fixed numbers.
