How to Play Pennsylvania Quinto Lottery
From a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer (a gas station, a convenience store, a food store, etc. which plays PA Lottery) get
a Quinto playslip. A playslip contains five different play areas, marked Game A through Game E. Each play area
represents a different Quinto play. If you want to play only one number, fill out only the Game A panel; if you want to
play 10 numbers, then get two playslips and fill all the panels, A to E of both of them.
Each play panel contains five colums of the digits 0 to 9. Mark the first digit of your number on the first column, the second
digit on the second column, the third digit on the third column, the fourth digit on the fourth column, and the fifth digit on the
fifth column. So, if you want to play 42679, then 4 will be marked in the first column, 2 in the second column, 6 in the third
column, 7 in the fourth column, and 9 in the fifth column. Next select the type of play - Straight or Box.
The other 6 play types need only partial selection of numbers. For "Front Pair", you need to mark only the first two columns,
and for "Back Pair", you need to mark only the last two columns. And similarly for Front Three, Back Three, Front Four, and Back Four.
The numbers you are playing are valid only for the next draw. If you want to specify either the day or evining draw, or both,
you can do so by marking the 'DAY', 'NIGHT' or 'BOTH' boxes. In fact, playing for both draws doubles the price.
Next, present the completed playslip to the lottery retailer to receive your printed ticket. Check your ticket immediately to
ensure that the numbers, dates, and play type match your request. The retailer can cancel the ticket.

Play Types and How You Win the Pennsylvania Quinto Lottery
There are eight ways you can play the Pennsylvania Quinto game. These types together with how much is paid for a winning
Pennsylvania Quinto pattern are listed below.
Straight: You win by matching the winning Quinto number in the exact order drawn. For example, if you play the Quinto
number 42679 as straight, you'll win only if the winning number is exactly 42679; you don't win anything if the winning number is
42697 or 42678.
The prize of Pennsylvania Quinto Straight game is $50,000.
Box: You win by matching the numbers in any order. For example, if you play 42679 as box, you'll win if the
Quinto winning number contains the five digits 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9 in any order, such as 24967 or 97642; but not if any one is
missing like 42677.
The prize of Pennsylvania Quinto box play depends on whether the digits are repeated or not.
- A number such as 42679, where none of the digits repeats is called a 120-way box and pays $425.
- If one of the digits is double, like 47679, then it is called a 60-way box and pays $850.
- If two digits are doubled, like 47676, then it is called a 30-way box and pays $1,700.
- If one of the digits is tripled and the other two are non-identical, like 47677, then it is called a 20-way box and pays $2,500.
- If one of the digits is tripled and another doubled, like 67676, then it is called a 10-way box and pays $5,000.
- If one of the digits is quadrupled, like 77677, then it is called a 5-way box and pays $10,000.
- There is no box play for numbers with all five identical digits such as 77777. These Quinto numbers can only be played straight.
Front Four: Just select the first four digits to win $5,000. For example, if you play the front four 4267 (i.e., 4267X),
you'll win as long as the first four digits of the winning number are 4267 in exact order. So, you'll win with 42670, 42671, etc.,
but not with 24670 or 04267.
Back Four: Just select the last four digits to win $5,000. For example, if you play the back four 2679 (i.e., X2679),
you'll win as long as the last four digits of the winning number are 2679 in exact order. So, you'll win with 02679, 12679, etc.,
but not with 24670 or 04267.
Front Three: Select only the first three digits to win $500. For example, if you play the front three 426 (i.e., 426XX),
you'll win as long as the first three digits of the winning number are 426 in exact order. So, you'll win with 42600, 42641, etc.,
but not with 00426 or 04267.
Back Three: Select only the last three digits to win $500. For example, if you play the back three 679 (i.e., XX679),
you'll win as long as the last three digits of the winning number are 679 in exact order. So, you'll win with 00679, 12679, etc.,
but not with 67900 or 42967.
Front Pair: Select only the first two digits to win $50. For example, if you play the front pair 42 (i.e., 42XXX),
you'll win as long as the first two digits of the winning number are 42 in exact order. So, you'll win with 42000, 42531, etc.,
but not with 00042 or 24000.
Back Pair: Select only the last two digits to win $50. For example, if you play the back pair 79 (i.e., XXX79),
you'll win as long as the last two digits of the winning number are 79 in exact order. So, you'll win with 00079, 12579, etc.,
but not with 79000 or 00097.
