Decades of Dollars Lottery General Information

Decades of Dollars is a multiple-state (NOT Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL)) lottery game played in 4 states with a grand prize
of $250,000 per year for 30 years, or $4 million cash.
The Decades of Dollars game consists of one sets of numbers where the player selects 6 numbers 1 through 47. Decades of Dollars costs $2 per game.

Decades of Dollars drawing schedule: Decades of Dollars drawings are held at approximately 11 p.m. EST every Monday and
Thursday night.
Decades of Dollars drawing method: The winning Decades of Dollars numbers are drawn using mechanical machines and ball sets.
Six balls are drawn out of a drum with 47 numbered balls.
How to play Decades of Dollars
Just like any multi-number game, Decades of Dollars is a very easy game to play. Two sample panels from a Decades of Dollars playslip are shown here;
the actual playslip may contain 5 or 10 panels.
Select 6 numbers from 1 through 47. Alternatively, you can mark the Quick Pick (QP) (Easy Pick (EP) in some states) to let the
Lottery terminal randomly select your numbers for you. If you want to play more numbers, then fill out panels B, C, etc. Each one
costs $2.
If you make an error, DO NOT ERASE, instead mark the VOID box for that play.
A typical winning number is reported as, 06-07-11-21-25-44 Since the order in which the numbers are drawn
doesn't matter, the winning numbers are reported in their natural order from smallest to highest.

Decades of Dollars top prize winners will select at the time of prize claim to receive the prize as $250,000 each year for
30 years or the one-time cash option amount of $4,000,000.
If there are more than two jackpot winners in a single drawing, the top prize may become pari-mutuel and the prize pool
would be shared equally amongst the top prize winners.
Also, if there are more than 25 second prize winners of $10,000 in a single drawing, the prize may become pari-mutuel and would be
shared equally amongst those winners.
Claiming Decades of Dollars Prizes: Usually prizes of less than $600 can be claimed at any retailer. However, every state has
its own rules for claiming lottery prizes. Please see your state's info page on this web site or go to the Decades of Dollars page of
the official site of your state by clicking on the map further below.
Also, how long you have to collect a Decades of Dollars prize depends on the state where you bought your tickets. The time period for
claiming a prize ranges from 180 days to 1 year from the draw date.
