United States 4-Digit Lottery Games

Though not as popular as 3-digit games, 4-Digit games are very widely played in the United States. Out of the 43 states that play lotteries in the United States, only Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Washington do not play these games. On the other hand, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Rhode Island play a 4-digit game which ingeniously integrates a 3-digit game into it. Most of the states have two draws a day while others have only one draw a day; Oregon has four draws a day. These games are known by the following different names in different states - Cash 4, Pick 4, daily 4, DC-4, Win 4, Big 4, and The Numbers.

Except the number of digits, 4-digit games are very similar to 3-digit games in many respects. They are as complex, if not more so; they have similar play types. However, the odds of winning with 4-digit games is generally greater than the odds of winning with 3-digit games although in the case of pair-plays the two have the same odds.
